Great work making this easy to understand. That stick of wood you found in the garage turned out beautiful!

Thank you brother! I hoped to make the process look simple and easy! And yea, I probably should have mentioned that I have a few slabs laying around that aren’t exactly scrap wood ha!

Thank you so much Christy! And yes... it's probably because this is the landscape version with all those extra details that IGTV can't capture in portrait. Thank you for your constant support friend!

Great video, however the hardest part of this project is finding a nice plained piece of wood. You should share with people how to obtain wood like this. Most (if not all) of us don’t just have “wood lying around our shops”.

Great point! It would have been a much more involved process with more tools that most people don't have in order to show the process of taking the board to this point, and that wasn't my focus for this video.. but you are right! Perhaps another video for sure. For now, I can share that I am fortunate to buy my wood at a local place called "The Wood Yard Georgia" (they have an ebay store as well) and they pre-plane most of their wood for you. I buy boards like this from there

Love the way this project came out! What is the thickness of the board you are working with?

Thank you so much! And believe it or not, I have no idea! haha.. I remember picking it up at my local wood yard but then I cut off the end of the wood that had the name written on it. I have reached out to my supplier to see if he can remind me! Thanks for watching!

How often do they need to reapply the oil/conditioner for maintenance?
@TysonMooreBuilds

To be honest, I am not sure if there is a technical point in time or condition that you should reapply, but I would say anytime it looks like it is drying out and could use another coat. It is so easy to apply that you could do it anytime. I conditioned a different cutting board last year and should probably do it again. Thanks for the reminder! :-)
