As far as HSTs, my new go to is the Clearly Slotted Trimmer vs. Bloc Loc (or AccuQuilt if I have the die size). Obsessing about quilting helps me live in the moment and has become a much needed survival skill, especially lately. Love FQS and Kimberly Jolly

When I make just square quilts. I made a 100 piece block. Works faster for me. In know time you have a big block to add to your quilt. I am on my sixth one. All from scraps I have had for years. Love scrappy quilts. My first one was over 2,000 two inch squares. Big quilt, it was gifted to a friend who gave me all her mom’s squares. Her mom passed away so when I gave her that quilt she cried and said she would cherish it forever.

Miss Kimberly I didn’t think I would like the bow tie quilt but once I watched you make it the other day I fell in love! I also learned a new way to stack and cut my fabric, Thank you I can always learn something new from watching you!

I have to say I LOVE THAT BLOUSE Kimberly! 😊 My fav "color" is literally "blue & white" and the print is totally 70s a lil wink and a nod to those fab hippie days. Aaaand might I add a lil "quiltesk" ( reminiscent of a quilt😁) a well. I mean who wouldn't love it right! I really need one. But🤔 there's likely no telling where it was purchased. We know Miss Kimberly is way to busy keep track of where a blouse was bought.. all the quilts n stitchy things plus the fam & pupperz too. Ok I'll admit it. I'm warn out just thinking about it😄 Still love one just the same. By the way loving the added new videos of Kimberly doing the Quilty things. That's fun and informative as well. Thank you all for your time and hard work ❤

Wonderful show today. I believe I found out about the spray starch red dots when I ironed my husband's shirts when he was in sales. Glad he has retired, LOL. Yesterday, I was spraying fabrics for my 3rd momma/baby quilt for 2024. My husband couldn't believe the amount of starch I was using. Told him it is part of the process. They can walk off the clothes line by themselves they are so stiff. LOL...

Thank you for all you do for the quilting community! You are a great teacher and encourager! I love when you show us finished quilts and all the new fabrics during your livestreams! Eye candy! I wish I had more time to make all the things, but I do what I can. I have small scrap squares cut, too, but not very many.

I love that you show us your mistakes. I make so many all the time. Sometimes I just read the pattern wrong or I write down what I’m supposed to cut out wrong. This is why I have to always buy more yardage than I need. 😁

I am not doing the Piece and Quilt project right now, yours is going to be so pretty. I am however doing the Strawberry Jam BOM. When my first shipment arrived I was so excited to sew the blocks and they are finished, can’t wait for next month. This will be a fun BOM, and pretty quilt. The Bow Tie would definitely look great in the 30’s reproduction fabrics. Thank you for the quilty inspiration.

I pay an Amish woman I know to hand quilt my quilts. The bonus besides the beauty of hand quilting is it's cheaper than long-arm quilting. It cost me $164.70 for a 99x99 quilt. She does an amazing job it's hard to see her stitching, and when you do see the stitching, it's very precise.

@peggycarper4040 I wish I knew how and that my hands would allow me. I have nerve damage and can't feel pain, and sometimes I don't even know that I'm holding things except I can see it. I have to watch really closely when sewing blocks because I don't feel when I stick myself with the pins until I get blood on the material. 🙄

Totally off topic but I love the Shirt that Kimberly is wearing so I have to ask where she got it. Loved hearing the idea of selling the fabric marker tabs for knowing the fabrics purchase purpose. I literally have a book shelf with 5 shelves and when I go to pull fabric I say I know I bought this for a specific project but what was it? Those labels would be a lifesaver and a stockpile would be ordered by me for sure! SO many great sew alongs to follow and since my book just arrived, I will be playing catch up with Lisa and Susan on the piece sampler. Great video as always.
