I get what you mean but I don’t think he’s justified in picking and choosing who he turns up for, he’s done nothing in the game as of yet, he needs to give 100% for every manager he plays with

It is very early in a career to behave as he has. You see the likes of Ndombele and at least he did it for a few years. It’s so sad when you have pace or ability but cannot turn up on time or take tactics on board.

Unfortunately guys there are players like Spence about who are difficult to manage. I totally agree with what you say and it maybe he won’t fulfill his talent. I genuinely hope he does because he does have the ability and he does seem a nice bloke at heart. In our promotion season we played Arsenal in the FA cup and Martinelli afterwards said he was was the best full back he had played against up to that time.

I wish I could see the highlights I've just seen through unbiased eyes. I consider myself a creative, even at 66, almost. But my imaginings were being played out in reality, and on top of that, there were surprises that I hadn't envisaged. Died Spence. I always think of the same thing whenever he is mentioned. When he arrived and they were pressing his number on the shirt and his excitement, and I was really happy too, then.😐 Here was the player I thought we bought and more. Talking of more, what about Mikey, please God let him be the equivalent in whatever position he settles in, to Harry one of our own Kane. Anyhow, it's late, so I won't ramble anymore, but if we can still get Eze and whoever then, I think we will all see the potential to start a new silverware future.

Spence played inverted full back role at Genoa. We purchased him for his speed but his attitude let him down. He is a year older. Want to see him again in pre season as he could be like a new signing if he maintains his focus.

Personally I think regardless of how he performs in pre season he should be shipped off, he’s trouble and any moment he doesn’t like he could be disruptive and I don’t think he’s worth it

Ange will be straight down the line with him , as soon as he falters he'll be gone.

Ange needs to decide if he's a World Class manager or just an Australian Harry Redknapp/Neil Warnock type and his dealing of Spence will tell us much. Spence is just not responsive to the old school culture that's been the toxic spine of our game for decades. Spence with proper coaches, in the England age setup, Cooper and over in Italy looks an absolute asset. Just because he's never going to care for football or Tottenham like you do shouldn't hold him back, that isn't his job.

@@richardbicknell8847 But surely bending over to coddle individuals is exactly the type of thing Harry and Warnock were famous for? Ange is all about the collective ethos - 100% effort and commitment required from every player in the core group. If he starts playing favourites and letting players coast on their talent the entire culture he's trying to foster will start showing cracks. Look at Pep - whenever a player starts kicking off or not showing commitment (Ibrahimovic, Cancelo) they're straight out of the door regardless of their talent. I think Ange is more along those lines than a Warnock or Redknapp.

Dane need to go on loan, and in Europe not the Championship, he does not have the body for the Championship.

Dane has bulked up from last year. He looked quite a bit stronger. On his first loan to Portsmouth he definitely lacked strength but he’s a couple of years older now.
