Jaramogi was a great man. I met him for the first time when I was a secondary school student. My classmate (Wachira Kiboi) from Nyandarua and myself (from Nyeri) were students at Maseno School. We looked for H.E. Oginga Odinga in his Kisumu town offices for several days. Secondary schools had outings over the weekend then. His staff were suspicious that we were spies of the Moi government. Eventually, we travelled to Bondo and met the charismatic leader, welcomed so well, and freely discussed politics, leadership, his vision for Kenya and Africa. It's one of the days I shall not forget. Later, he would come to Maseno for old boys meetings and he would be the center of attraction. Robert Ouko, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was the chairman of our school's Board of Governors. At University, I met him several times at AGIP House, the HQs of Ford-Kenya. I'm proud that as university students, we partnered with the great leader and other leaders too, to fight for multi-party democracy during the Sabasaba day and always until the KANU dictatorship crumbled. Jaramogi was a patriot and he sacrificed his life for our country. I believe he's in heaven. He's departed, but he'll remain an inspiration to millions of Kenyans and citizens of all African counties. Thank you, icon Obadiah Adonijah Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Ajuma. Salute!

Why do people like write negative comment oginga odinda was an honerd man and like he says that that place is a sacred place
@janepatta99462 жыл бұрын
Ignorance, greed, jealousy, zarrogance, blind ambition are the reason people who make negative comments...they are in denial ....it's painful because the people who talk negatively have no freedom history only theft history....they want to erase history but too bad its their history which is erasable because their victories are marred in bloody murders, grand theft and plunder of country. They are neither patriotic nor committed to the good of the country...so they feel ashamed but put on a brave shameful face.

This man discovered kibaki and brought him to Kenya from makerere yet mountain people led by rigathi hate him and raila so much. Malipo ni hapa duniani, tumewaachia mungu. Walichukia tom mboya wakaamuua na kuweka moi president, na mboya ndio alitetea kenyatta kuliko watu wote. Mwishowe moi ndio alikuja akawafinya wakawa maskini wanafikiri ruto will be any better. Ruto ni kama tu moi, wapole lakini wakipata power wanageuka kitu ingine. Mlima watalia kama siku za moi
