Awesome finds! Me, my wife, and 3 kids all got bit by the vhs bug. It all started when we found some home video of my wife, so naturally we go out and find a vcr at a local thrift....now we have over 300 tapes, YIKES, lol! It's fun for everyone though and the kids can't scratch them! At this point, I would love to find 80s and 90s cartoons on tape, like those published by fhe and dic.

Those were some pretty cool finds you got this weekend! I think this past weekend was one of the best for yardsale hunting. I ended up getting a wii U new super Mario/Luigi console Box set cib in great condition, 2 super nintendo's with 4 controllers and about 20 games, an xbox one w/controller, an nes classic like new cib, 3 DS lites with pokemon black version 2 and about 10 other ds games, 3 xbox360 controllers, wii u sonic/mario rio 2016, mario tennis for the n64 and a few wii and ps3 games. It was a heck of a Saturday! I paid $210 for everything and already resold the nes classic for $120. Just thought I'd share my finds with you since you share yours with us!

The animated Ghost Busters was a clone of the live action Saturday morning TV show. Cannot remember the actors but the characters were Spencer, Tracy and Kong (Gorilla- actor in a suit).

@@retrorick your welcome. Wish I could remember the actors... show was sooo campy, the production crew really made it an over the top, tongue in cheek comedy that never took itself seriously. It was a lot like the Lost Saucer, Far Out Spacenuts, H. R. Puffnstuff and the Buglaoos - all of them were over the top campy but just asso hilarious funny. All of the above mentioned shows were done in the live action era of the early 80's.

Klasky csupo (the people that made rugrats) were the people the animated the McDonald land vhs. You could get them at McDonald’s for a while, and one is super rare (something about the Loch Ness monster or something)

I love me anything DuckTales... I about lost my mind when they came out with the remake of the NES game on PS3, 360, and Wii U. Just picked up the compilation of all the old NES Disney cartoon games on my PS4. My 5 year old son is in love with the old original cartoons as well. We have them all on DVD. He actually prefers them to the reboot, go figure...

Our local game xchange's don't do b2g1 on "retro", sadly. Just PS3/360 and up. You should absolutely review those random board games. My wife said I had to stop collecting the board games. I would come home with giant ones, much like that Rugrats one, and get "the look". Robin Williams will always be my genie. No question. Those Nickelodeon board games are awesome! Love the original Nickelodeon products - always so cool looking. I had a goosebumps 3D board game that looked similar to that Rugrats one! Great pickups and would definitely be interested in review videos! Always great to see game related, but the 90s random pickups are some of my favorites!

Ghostbusters was a cartoon by hanna barber in the 50's they bought it back to keep ownership of the name and thus why the "ghostbusters" cartoon is called The Real Ghostbusters

This might sound silly but you should check out the Little Mermaid for NES as well. It's another Capcom Disney classic. I think it's right up there with Ducktales and Chip and Dale's.

I miss having a Game XChange in our area--all of ours up here closed down. My poor buddy had a credit voucher for over $200 for them he never got to use before they closed. It doesn't say it expires either... Oh man, played so much of Paperboy on NES--I'm awful at it, but still enjoyed playing it. Ha ha--those Pee-Wee VHS! I always thought that was crazy too on the naming convention of the REAL Ghostbusters because of the other cartoon. Goodwill and thrift shops can be great finds for board games--I don't think people think to look for them there but we've found some nice titles. Neat find on the SF2 arcade bank--very cool find! Yay--Genie figure! Is that the figure with the flip head? There's a toy that has two different heads--you pull it out and flip it over for a different expression. Oh snap--if Ryan Reynolds is in a film, guess ti means I've gotta track it down for Lady Laci--ha ha!

Daniel Stern has been in a lot of movies and shows in the late ‘80’s early 90’s he was the voice of the older Kevin in the Wonder Years which I didn’t know until I got older and is in one of my favorite movies called Coupe Deville from the early ‘90’s grab that one if you see it.

When you mentioned "Game X Change" I decided to do a little research because there used to be 3 locations here in the St. Louis, MO. area, but they have been closed for more than 15 years. At the time I just thought they were a small-time operation. Now, I just discovered that the corporate offices are based out of Arkansas and each location is privately owned and operated. I also read multiple complaints regarding the locations in Texas knowingly selling counterfeit electronics and reproduction cartridges and sticking to their guns regarding their NO CASH REFUNDS policy. One complaint that I read said that this guy's local Game X Change in Mesquite, TX knowingly sold him a repro cart of EarthBound for the SNES for well over $100. When he attempted to return it for a refund, he was denied. The General and District Manager basically told him that is the risk you took when you purchased the game. Well, the guy used his head, called his bank to dispute the charge, and got his money back that way. Furthermore, I also read that it is NOT a great place to work. They pay you minimum wage but expect you to donate more of your time than actually working for pay.

I just bought a very dirty ps2 with two controllers and all the cords at a thrift store for 14 dollars, got home and it had a bonus Disc inside. It was def jam fight for NY, black label. Almost passed on it glad I didn't!
