Someone asked about privatization of Parastatals. The logic of Parastatals is to provide essential services which the private sector cannot provide adequately.Water, Electricity etc,are just examples. Where the services given requires sharing costs like water and power, the trick is not to privatise,no as that may hurt the public interest. The trick is to ensure that the Parastatals are fully owned by the government as a limited company but run by professionalism and protected by legal statutes .
