Congrats to Selangor Red Giants for winning the MSC 2024 Tournament 🤗 I wasn’t expecting that SRG would win the MSC 2024 tournament against FCAP what went wrong for FCAP is their refusal to adapt to the situation where it’s pretty obvious what SRG is going for, but they tend to stick with the same tactics in the overall match. Although there were slight improvements like Kyletzy waiting to bait out Sekyss to engage in, still wasn’t enough to carry the whole team to win the match. What I like about SRG is their ability to adapt in situations where they know the FCAP strats (Ex. form a crowd and engage) and find a counterplay (bring Sekyss at the back of the opponent’s position to get vision and potentially ambush them) SRG is known for: - Exhausting their enemies’ skills and resources before attacking - Prioritising only the squishy heroes before tanks - Once a CC from one of their teammate is used, they go all in and get their opponent bursted down in a matter of a second - Every skill usage matters, if they have to waste a skill/resources, might as well get a kill - Encircling their opponent that acts sort of like a “fishnet” and getting them cornered. Overall, FCAP could’ve won but SRG adapted slowly overtime, winning the MSC 2024!

Some people were commenting saying that SRG was a bonus round and that the real finale was between TLPH & FCAP, where are they now? Even during the livestream it was all, "lucky, scripted" etc. It's becoming a common theme to see ph fans being overly prideful and bearing great disdain for every other region. Idk why they never give props to their opponents. Even the pros themselves seem to bear this mentality, "Do well, we will crush you" - Flaptzy before facing SRG. Yes I am aware ph are a powerhouse and have won 4 consecutive m series in a row, however that doesn't mean they should be so complacent, treating this match as a foregone conclusion before it even began. In that regard this win for SRG (first grand finals in international tournament mind you) felt really really refreshing to say the least. GL to them in m6, as well as to the other regions, ph dominance has been knocked down by a peg.

Hey man, you've got some fair points there. As a Filipino fan, it stings to admit, but we can definitely be over the top sometimes. That whole "bonus round" talk was pretty disrespectful, ngl. SRG played their hearts out and earned that win fair and square. I guess we got used to winning and it went to our heads a bit. Flaptzy's comment didn't age well, huh? 😅 It's a wake-up call for sure. We gotta give props where they're due - SRG stepped up big time. Congrats to them on their first international final win! Maybe this'll shake things up and make the scene even more exciting.
