The Patel Community in Gujarat organized a ‘Maha Kranti’ rally in Ahmedabad to press for its demand to include the community in Other Backward Caste (OBC) quota.
Addressing the mass gathering at GDMC rally ground here, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti leader and firebrand youth politician, Hardik Patel, attacked Gujarat government for turning down their demand and warned that protests would turn violent if their demands are not met.

acc to me kisi ko bhi reservation nhi milnah chie. jo general category k log hai kya unko jobs ki jroort nhi ..aj kal sc st obc kitne sare hai jo bhot rich hai or jo bhi general category ka hai usee yeh difference feel hota hai har jagh hmesha reserve cote k lie sari facility ..har job mai ya to paise dekr lg jao ya fir jo reserve category wale hai woh bhr jate hai ..poor middle class general category wala jo kisi bhi reservation mai nhi ate woh kya krnge woh toh har jgh se thak har jata hai nh ...woh toh kuch nhi kr pate nh...so government ko yeh reservation khtm krne chie isee caste system mai or differrnce create hota hai ...
