I'm taking this course for myself as an adult and I don't even homeschool my kids. I LOVE it!! I'm excited for my kids to get old enough to teach it to my kids.

I am just about to finish this course up with my children. It has been one of my favorite courses to ever do. The good and the beautiful hit it out of the park on this one. Enjoy.

We’re absolutely loving this course! Like you, I’m learning SO much. I have 22 years of formal education and had never been taught much of the info in this course. That’s so wrong! Every American needs to know and understand our history. It also leads to awesome conversations with our daughter. ❤️

I really like this format for a video. It was great to hear what is written in the instruction book and to see how you use all the components. I think we will add this to our curriculum next year.

Just a thought for those with high schoolers, Hillsdale College has a constitution course for free that you could add with this as well. I’m taking it right now for myself! I’m excited to do this constitution course with my kids when they are a bit older 😊

Thanks for the video it was so nice to see you teaching and see how your homeschool day goes. Makes me feel better about my homeschool. I also had to show my kids the video and how cool that someone else is learning the same thing as us!! Thanks for all you share and for being a wonderful Christian role model to all of us. You truly have much wisdom.

I know this is an older video but I just watched it… I laughed when you asked what lead to the revolution and one of your children said, “Common sense!” I had totally forgotten about the dissertation by Thomas Paine and I thought she was just being flippant lol.

We did Lesson 25 today and have thoroughly enjoyed this unit! I will be so sad for it to be over in a few weeks as I have learned so much too! I have a 6th grader and 4th grader currently so I am planning to do save it and do it again with them in 3-4 years and possibly beef it up for my high schooler at that point. Thanks for sharing!

I was planning on starting this course on Monday, to finish out history for the year. Now I'm second-guessing if my kids are old enough! They're 6th, 4th, 1st, and Pre-K. Obviously it would mainly be for my 2 oldest.... .

Loveeee! I’m trying not to be eager for my kids to get older because the 1st and 3rd grade is so precious- but I’m excited for the things to come when they are a bit older.

Do you think it would be way over a 3rd grader’s head? What age do you think would most benefit from the course? (Trying to decide what year to try it out. I have 2nd and 5th graders this year.)
@GraceandGrit2 жыл бұрын
I do think it would be. Even though it says 4th you definitely would want to do it again in the future. If I just had my youngest I would wait. 6th is probably a great age. IMO

I have a 3rd grader. We just wrapped up our history and I have this sitting in my shelf. Do you think a 3rd grader could grasp this well?
@jessicajarquin80932 жыл бұрын
I had actually started this with my 3rd grader when it first came out and it definitely was too much for her to comprehend. So I had to stop mid yr and we switched to another history curriculum. However, every child is different and your child might like it. I agree with what Grace said about the unit being able to be used for a high schooler. It is alot of reading. I honestly will probably try it again when my child is in 6th grade.

My oldest is in 4th. Would it be worth waiting a few years to tackle this? Her siblings are 7, 4, and 1. Obviously the younger two are incredibly young, but I’m thinking it wouldn’t be worth the effort of just teaching the oldest. I think I’m just excited to do it for myself.

I’m loving this video! Thank you so much for sharing!! It’s nice to see how other Moms teach lessons to their kids. It’s so helpful. What’s your advice on a 9th grader using this as their Constitution credit for high school? Our state requires 1/2 credit for US Constitution. Thank you again for sharing a peek into your homeschool day!! 🙂
@jessicalantz44282 жыл бұрын
I've been trying to figure this out as well. We will be using it in the fall when my oldest is beginning 9th grade. I assume extra reading and maybe written assignments could be added to meet the requirements?
@MrsDoubleDW2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for sharing! Ok, super practical question here. It's my understanding that you paused your normal history to do this course. So, when you resume, are you going to double up on history lessons so that you will still finish it at the end of the year with all of your other subjects? Or do you go about it a different way? Thanks for everything you do!!
