Interesting video. It just showed up in my feed. I was considering a position at NV a few weeks ago. For those wondering, Engineer salary is equivalent to €60,000. Taxes are high but living costs are low according to my research. Looks like a very nice place to be. I turned down a salary of €250,000, because money isn't everything...family is, and I couldn't uproot mine to move to Sweden no matter how attractive the role was. Still, I would not rule it out in the future.

You mean 60k euro a year right? What about 250k euro then? Keep in mind here the rent is relatively high and place hard to find because new NV people.

@@InsideMuseums Yes, I checked the salary for Engineers in a similar role if directly employed by NV and 60k per annum is not bad. Rentals for 1 or 2 bed apartments near to site were averaging the equivalent to €800 per month when I was doing my due diligence checks. I live in Ireland, so the rent is Skelleftea is cheap in comparison. I would have been a consultant Engineer (not direct with NV), so I would have had a high salary with no benefits. If I became ill and missed any work, no pay. If I took time off, no holiday pay. No pension contributions, no health insurance, just a nice fat salary. I must admit the idea of working there, installing equipment was an attractive one and had I believed I could have negotiated the days spent on site to allow myself to return home for longer periods, I might have been persuaded to go for it. However, the recruiter I think was under pressure to close the position, so I made a decision to cut myself out of the running. It's an industry I am very much interested in. I have solar at home. I'm building my own battery storage in the coming weeks and my family has been driving EVs exclusively since 2017, including a Tesla, which I believe NV have connections to.

I've worked in Finland before and now I'm working in France. I want to go to Sweden because I bought a sailboat there and I need to repair it. I would like to ask about accommodation. How much do you pay per month for the room? I know this type of hostel. It was similar in Finland for €430. And then I'm interested in the pay. I don't want to know the exact amount. I would need 25000 Sec net. and now I don't know the amount of taxes. So I estimate 30000Sek gross. Is it a good guess or am I completely off 😀

same here.. salaries are not high.. I have 10 years carreer in my current company.. me and wife getting around 3500 Euro per month.. They offered me 3k Euro per month as manager.. Also I dont have house rent expense... Rents are around 800Euro in skelleftea.. So job offer doesnt make me sense... Dark, harsh, long winter... I am in Turkiye right now...If they try to make people move there they should change their minds...
