Roy bittans incredible intro of Jungleland during an encore on a concert must be the most uplifting feeling there is!

I was at this show and it was a seminal moment for me in the history of my love of rock music. Hearing of Clarence's passing tonight makes me realize how important he was in that memory. R.I.P. Big Man. You are loved. xox

R.I.P. Big Man. You have served your time on earth and have brought us a sound like no other. The day the saxophone died...

Have to agree. Those 70's versions are just crazy. Best song ever personally

Love this song - just heard it in Fort Lauderdale along with Backstreets in the same show. When the Piano comes in the intro I always know it is a special night to hear Jungleland.

This was my initiation to the journey of Bruce concerts. '84 seems so close yet so far. My most recent concert was MSG April 6, 2012. Bruce is the same, yet different, but always as good. It has been my joy to love Bruce for 30 years. The depth of the words, the surprise of the phrasing, the insight, the fun, the party of the concert--he brings it all. Read this book: Reading the Boss: Interdisciplinary Approaches to the Works of Bruce Springsteen. Thank you Bruce.

insanely great. i recall seeing it in Los Angeles in 84. it was the only time at the arena, where everyone in the hall was standing absolutely still, with zero motion.... watching in respectful observance as the sax solo transitioned into piano...

One of the best ensemble pieces this band ever did. This was perhaps the Big Man and Professor Roy's finest moment..

this is so "real"... It doesn't get better than this. Except for the 70's versions.

@trapper2 Oh what a voice, only listen to Bruce voice and start dreaming. At this time he was really The Boss. What a powerful voice. But your are right too, the Proffessor and the Big Man, the best suond they ever had in the 80´s, my absolute favorite time of Bruce and The E Street Band.

Is there a limit on how many time you can hit like? I should be sleeping but I keep hitting replay. I know noone ever promised fairness in this life -but I would so love to hear this one more time live - with Clarence. Tears fall everytime I listen...watch him play..,its not just the sound he creates, there's a beauty in the motion, a symetry that's breathtaking in its perfection.

little steven left in the 80's for just a lil while so that he could pursue a career as a solo muscisian (yknow he can sing too) and he had lots of bands he'd play with with bruce as a guest or himself as the sideman so he pursued it but to no succes then bruce got huge with born in the usa and nils lofgren who we see in this video joined since that album on and now little steven rejoined so three guitarists steven bruce and nils
