Johor/ Malaysia can tap on Singapore's air and sea transportation Infrastructure for their goods as well. Singapore turn around time for goods deployment is way more efficient than others in the region.

Yeah. Sarawak energy cable to Singapore. I was wondering why there was an initial proposal of connecting this cable to Australia, probably 10x more than the distance to Sarawak.

PM 9% GST, going lead us to the Forest City. This is going to be worse than anything like investment in Suzhou, Tienjing or Vietnam.

I am excited by the ASEAN chairmanship of Malaysia under PM Anwar for resolution of Myanmar issue. His creative idea of appointing former non Malaysian politicians as Advisers may lead to breakthrough in the Myanmar issue.

Does one party’s dominance necessarily lead to long-termism that’s in society’s interest?
@CalvinK-the_old_fogey17 күн бұрын
Yes, absolutely and it is not hard to see. Tiny red dot SG has one of the world’s largest reserves, 2 sovereign funds among Top 10 and prosperous population with one of the highest income per capita globally. Scoring high in international standards wrt transparency, anti-corruption and trust in government. On the other hand, MY under Mahathir’s rule was bogged down by corruption, cronyism and racial politics. Even after Mahathir, the constant bickering and political changes simply made national progress impossible. With Anwar in power, Malaysia may experience political stability and this means Malaysia will inevitably surpass Singapore. In conclusion, answering your question: Yes, ‘long-termism’ is in any society’s interest.
