Honestly, when i first heard the cover i wasnt the biggest fan, but after truly taking some time to listen to it. I can say that this is an amazing cover. Jorja took an already amazing frank ocean song and added her own style of singing. Making this song an even more unique and awe-inspiring piece.

The problem is that as much I as like the instrumental rendition of the song here, and Jorja's voice, she's kind of overdoing it a bit, and she has all these sort of 'Amyisms' that are clearly meant to have a soul-like impact on the song (which is more pop originally) but which come across as a bit too much. To this day, it's still her greatest flaw. We know that she likes Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill, it's all over her music, and it's fine, these are influences. But when she's live she always needs to have these showy bits and pieces that actually don't serve her performance are just bad mimicry. It's the same here, which is a shame because overall it's a successful cover. So even those who like Jorja (her first album is very good for a debut) have to sort brush aside these things in order to listen to this cover. That's ok, though, she just has to find her own style when she's live, and she's experimenting.

This is one of my favourite songs/covers by her although i prefer her studio recording. No idea why the comments are so negative. The original song is a completely different vibe.
