I've been waiting patiently & can now finally say. I put my order in on my brown trout K9. I only have 1 K9 In the sake bomer color which is kinda transparent golden brown. It's been excellent & caught my 11.4 largemouth PB last August. I needed another one & something different that had some flash. Plus like you mentioned it has blue gill colors as well. I've been throwing my K9 & other big glide baits with a regular Diawa Tatula 7' 9" Heavy Mod-fast, rated up to 6oz. It fishes them perfect & has that parabolic bend. It also have enough power to drive ina 10/0 beast hook in big soft baits too! It's actually been great for both hard & soft bait. I got lucky on that I have a Diawa 300 Lexa on top with 20lb floro. The rods sweat spot is 3-4oz but it throws 1oz baits just fine too. Looking forward to my new K9!!! Thanks

I've never used braid for swimbaits. I like strait floro, or copoly 20lb. I've caught my best fish in glide mode. 3 of my biggest we on the K9 in glide mode 8.6 - 9.3 - 11.4 I add 4 suspend lead strips on bottom chin & belly. Enough to slow the float back up a little bit. Still floats but almost suspends.
