Hi. Jon, love watching you on live matches, can I ask, have you done, or would you do, a short video on the best knot for linking your braid to your shock leader...it has to be small to pass through the rod rings...

Thanks Thomas, I generally use a 1.5in-2in loop in the braid and tie the mono to it with a half blood knot. That creates two small knots that pass through the guides easily, rather than one big one. Thats the way a lot of the England Feeder team do it, so if its good enough for them its good enough for me.

well done jon 3rd and it was close to 2nd ,nasty weather brollies can be a god send in side winds keeps your gear and tackle clean and dry ,could do with making a big one with one v section taking out of the top,, for casting rods ,,,and one v section taken out the back for poles,,not like the ones with a small slit in the back,,well done jon.. tight lines and full nets,

Yes I had worms on standby and rarely put them in immediately, but as my pinkies were working I stuck with them. Worms are a gamble when its so cold and difficult.

I think that your lines loose and the fish has already got it in there mouth and you twitching hooks it when line straightens out
