Great tribute to a good man. Your participation in the match was enough of a fitting tribute, but from what you explained about how you knew Bob, it was a shame ozs/lost fish cost you the win. I loved spending time with Bob when I was growing up. Always welcomed me into his house, used to take me up the farm in that battered old van which was a real eye opener. The times on the CB Radio when Leamington was alive with it. Not forgetting his love for Kate Bush !!!!! Good times and fantastic memories of a great man.o

Fantastic video for a great bloke. One of my earliest angling memories are of Bob fishing my dad & peters canal matches in Small Heath. One of the nicest people you’d meet and I’m glad to have fished with him a few times where he was always on hand to give advice. Thanks for the video jon, a fitting tribute for a great man.

Lovely video Jon and a great tribute to Bob. My health wouldn't allow me to fish this year but next year for sure. You could write a book about Bob. We worked, drank, played music and fished together in the 60's and 70's and got up to some ridiculous nonsense but all good naturedly. RIP mate.

The name "Bob Taylor" rings loud bells, with me being born & grew up near Leamington until I moved away 30+ years ago.... There were a few "Taylor" anglers & I'm trying to identify & remember which one was Bob = was he a stocky fella in his younger days, dark brown hair & had a moustache? Was mates with Barry Jonas? And bred maggots at Alan Lanes old maggot farm at Ufton (or was it Harbury)??..... And who dumped his tackle box on top of a wasp's nest, after arriving at his peg for a 100+ peg canal match? 😨😨
