Excellent video again as with all of your videos. It would be really interesting to see a video on how you set out your peg at a match. While the more experienced match anglers may know most of it, those of us that havent fished any but think they might like to having watched your videos, it would be really good to see how you set out the peg and why you do things that you do. Can't wait for the next great video!

Enjoyable watch, was nice to see you got a few bites in those conditions. We all need some stability in conditions let fish settle.

I used to fish Molands Mere in the 80s. It was one of the best carp waters in the Midlands at the time. Carp over 30lb and pike to 40lb.

Still a few pike in there and a few 20s, but a very different venue now.

I have been fishing a natural lake with gin clear water and a float rod in the summer and struggled to get bites after the ground bait had sunk. Any tips on getting more bites in clear water Jon ? Tried sloppy ground bait but struggled to get it out to where I was fishing without covering myself in it. After about an hour I looked like I had been standing on Nelsons column all day. Great vids mate really enjoy them.
@sebastiangeorge77145 жыл бұрын
I had great success with free sinking maggots but I could see them taking the bait right in front of me, they took the hook really deep. I think coconut would help with the ground bait.
@JonArthur5 жыл бұрын
You need to add a bit more dry groundbait so its not quite so sloppy. Loose feeding mags or casters is often better if its gin clear. If you really want a lingering cloud then a powdered groundbait dye and damp leam can help.

Would i be right in thinking that the fish in these places have to eat anglers bait to survive due to the stock levels?
