Hi Dan, thanks for your advice always! You've talked a lot about how Brook Lopez took a hit production wise when Doc Rivers took over for the Bucks. From what I saw, I noticed there was an uptick in Bobby Portis's Minutes, FGAs, PTs, REBs, and STLs (last one probably flukier). Are people underestimating Portis's role in Doc's version of the team based on the last three months of the season?

Portis is a low upside guy because he doesn't do a ton of categories, but he'll just quietly plod along in that 90-120 range probably all year. Useful for h2h totals. Not so much for games cap spots and not particularly exciting

Hey Dan, if im not too comfortable with punting from the outset can I pick what I see as value for the first 5 or 6 rounds and then assess whay needs attending to from that point onwards?. Like if for example I'm at pick 40 and someone like FVV is somehow (hypothetically 😅) still there is it okay just to grab immense value despite it not being perfect for my build? And do some for the first handful of rounds?

Sure can! I might assess after round 3/4 as opposed to 5/6 since it's often too late to make up ground in the most scarce stuff then

I'm interested that you don't ever seem to be concerned about the positional makeup of your team. Only two SFs in this one seems like a very low number. What if all your guards have games on the same day? Am I putting too much emphasis on getting a more balanced team?

Yeah, it'll all balance. Plus, I'm probably dropping 2 of my last 3 picks in a lot of leagues. I'll stream a SF if I have to

Unquestionably the best team. And I think what it teaches us is that it's silly to punt after just 1 pick. See what develops and THEN lean into the strategy.
