It's still to be seen how well it runs on a computer that isn't optimized to the game and has several Paras running at once, but it looks promising.

This. It takes about ten seconds before interactions happen in sims now, I've counted. As far as I can tell, it is NOT related to how many pictures are in your save file or anything similar. It is increasingly frustrating and I play my game on fast-forward too much, but that sometimes causes me to miss new animations. If I could change one thing, it would be this and glad Paralives isn't doing outright stupid things like this.

This is a small tweak that’s probably for the model animators, but that running animation would look 10x better if the model slowed to a walk as they get right next to their destination. It would make the whole sequence much smoother since humans don’t typically snap to a standing position after performing a full speed jog.

I didn't know how much I needed "Talk to self" and especially "Think about the past" as actions for a Para, until now. I really love this idea of Paras being able to have an inner life. Can't wait to see what other actions we'll be able to choose for our Paras to interact with themselves. Does calling a Para give us the option of being able to "pin" the Para we call more often than the others ? The fact that we have two ways of performing an action (one quick, one detailed but with available pins/shortcuts) is really fantastic. This is the kind of flexibility that Paralives has been the symbol of since the first announcements, and seeing it* come to life is really satisfying. All kinds of players will be able to play this game, each in their own way. Also : no need to open the menu several times ? GOD THIS IS GOOD. Details like that, or like the reordering of actions in the task bar, are really a huge QoL difference. One sidenote, as I've noticed this in previous sneak peeks : it's kind of weird that the icon in the task bar doesn't match the icon of the action. "Dance here" has a full body icon, but the icon in the task bar for it is only an upper body icon ; "Use" the toilets is an icon representing the toilets, but in the task bar we see a roll of toilet paper. That makes little sense to me. Why ask us to recognize two icons for each action ?

I think this is what is severely lacking in sims 4 I have a hard time connecting with my sims as dumb as that sounds. I used to cry at their weddings and funerals

the pin feature is nice, but how about a favourite? Favourites should show right when you open the interaction menu, so you don't have to crawl through the tree's every time to get to them. The pin seems to only allow for one interaction to be used quickly, favs would make it more customizable.

It kinda looks like the objects lock some pinned activities to them, so you could pin "use" to the toilet and "walk here" to the menu and use both.

you dont have to crawl through the tree's thanks to the search bar, but yea having a pinned *and* a fav options could be helpful to organise your para's actions

The pin was something I didn't know I needed until now. And the search bar is so nice so you don't endlessly find yourself hopping through options and having to pause the game just so you don't waste time looking for the option you're looking for. Super intuitive!

Absolutely brilliant. I am beyond impressed, and tremendously grateful for this blessing. It works so well! All I've ever wanted in a Sims game is that when I cancel an action, they stop it IMMEDIATELY and go do the other thing. Sure, you can't just hop off of a toilet or finish a joke successfully, but you can stop eating dinner and get up out of your chair, or you can stop running to a place, or get off a treadmill, or hang up the phone. Imagine being ten minutes late to work because you had to keep running on a treadmill.

Edit after watching: I once again have no words... you managed ONCe AGAIN to remove one of the annoying features from The Sims where you have to open and go through the entire menu of interactions for every single interaction you wanna add. Now being able to cue multiple interactions without closing the menu will make gameplay so much smoother and easier, didn't even think of that! I love being a patreon and getting to be involved in parts of this game and also watching it develop. The music is wonderful... it doesn't dominate the game and just supports it in the background. Excellent job as always Andrei (I do love a bit of piano). The right click thing and the fact that you can link different actions to different objects (toilet = use; floor = run) is brilliant. All of these are features I didn't know I needed but now that I do, I really really need them 🤣 Incredible work! I continue to be amazed every single time you upload something. All of these "small and simple" quality of life options you keep adding make so much sense, yet I'd never think of them on my own.
