I watched Davey Camlin get killed on this track years ago in one of the biggest front straightaway crashes that has ever happened in this sport.😢 I remember it like it was yesterday, still so sad. I've seen a bunch of races here. Races don't sound the same without all thoughs Harleys running around the track. Long live the XR750!

I rode with a ex pat California Del Mar flat tracker for years, he could out run any modern adv bike on a hot rod BSA 580 single. 90 mph sideways on logging road corners etc. whole different skill set than street riding. Chasing him meant crashing,

Looks like Harley successfully killed the dirt oval . The AMA Kissed HD's ass for decades and now they can't compete so their minions boycott racing. Truly a shame i loved flat track.
