Amazing work man, a lil tip that has always helped me with portraits… Soak a paper towel with witch hazel and cover the tattoo for 10-15 mins will make the Irritation go away and give you a better range of your tones. -Cheers

Maybe adding some drop shadows on the sweater so the cross appears to be in front maybe? Because to me it seems like it’s through the sweater not over the top of it like the pic.

Question: I was never super artistic, but I always loved art. I recently spent 800$ on a tattoo artist I know’s whole setup. From a Sol Nova 4.0 unlimited to all the ink, cartridges, gloves, everything you need to do a lot of sanitary tattoos. Anyways, my question. If I practice line work, and learn shading, can I still be a good tattoo artist?
