SO glad to hear that things are good for you, Melanie. I suffered a very severe, permanently disabling pelvic injury during the emergency early delivery of our 2nd Daughter in 2005. It severely impacted my mobility and I've been slowly losing my ability to walk as a consequence. I can't stand flat on my feet, I can only stand on the balls of my feet. So I fall and injure myself frequently. Showering is terrifying. I've been lucky so far to have an excellent team of doctors who are willing to put themselves in some jeopardy in order to keep my chronic pain treated as effectively as possible so I don't lose any more mobility, but it's been a harrowing journey. I too, am very fortunate to be Blessed with an absolutely amazing Husband who has been by my side every single step of the way. It's taken a heavy toll on him too, so I can totally identify with you. I will continue to pray for strength and steadfastness in regard to your healing. My best friend is a breast cancer survivor, and she's still going strong and doing amazingly well almost a decade on from her ordeal. So I hope you will continue on your journey of healing, and keep being the survivor your are so you can die peacefully of old age. All the best to you, my Dear.

Oh Melanie I always get so excited to hear you. You are always on my heart. So my husband received a cancer diagnosis 2 years ago. I’ve walked this journey beside him. When you talk about Andrew and all you two have walked through, I can relate to everything… even the intimacy part. Let me say from Andrew’s perspective, he adores you and nothing he wouldn’t do for you. You do grow stronger and closer in a way that no one understands, have they not walked this journey. We caregivers don’t always know what to do except give you warriors, time. Grieving your trauma and your cancer is necessary. You are so darling and brave. God bless you and keep you- and may his face shine on you❤

Melanie, you are the example of strength and courage that others strive for. Although you have been through a lot. What an extraordinary testimony you have. Also what an example to your daughter! When she learns and understands all that you have been through she will be so proud of her parents. Plus what knowledge and wisdom you can share with her as she grows up with you as her parents she will grasp onto that knowledge, wisdom, strength, and courage and be so very blessed to have those tools in her own life to fall back on. You maje me feel stronger in my own health journey. I feel we all have learned so much from you and your journey that I know I am a better person for having watched you Conquer and now as you continue to grow abd blossom.

Hi Melanie, I was diagnosed in 2022 & had chemo & radiation treatments. I lost most of my hair It grew back curly like yours ...chemo curls . After a year my hair returned to normal which is more straight with a small amount of wave. I kept mine short bc it's so easy & cute. I understand your feelings & the mental health effects. Unfortunately, cancer changes you & your life but you can move forward with a new normal. You look great & are so brave. Good luck with your upcoming surgery I will have you & your family in my prayers 🙏 ❤

Thank you for sharing. I have so many thoughts but will keep it short. EMDR is amazing if you have a licensed therapist with history. @ginettelefebvre88173 ай бұрын
It wennt well. 3 different sessions of 28 weeks with 6months to a year.my eye sight improved... thats a great side effect. When u go in chamber and oxygen pressure starts... if its realky painful to your ears let them know and they will schedule a procedure in following days. They will insert tubes in your ears because of the pressure. Im sure you will do well. Often we were 2 to a chamberand we were allowed to watch dvds on tv W@@melaniefostersnavely

@melaniefostersnavely3 ай бұрын
I havent thought to ask. I think the issue with that is then they would have to take bone from somewhere and bevause it is still connected with my sinuses it could impede that.

@melaniefostersnavely I understand but I would ask if it was me they could put a tiny plastic or metal plate in side your eye socket then use metal tiny brackets to secure it to your eye socket then your eye socket would be sealed behind where your eye was

I cant imagine what you and Andrew have been through. Cancer in itself, especially advanced, is overwhelming . You also had pregnancy concerns. You have handled it all admirably. Do you have any idea when the cancer may have started? Was it before your pregnancy but with no symptoms?
