I guess by Thursday evening,we will know a lot more about the path of this hurricane. I'm in NC and I'm already preparing : peanut butter, jelly, canned tuna/chicken, bread, water, flashlights and batteries, filling up the tank with gas

JMO. I’d probably cancel instead of risk getting stuck somewhere due to travel problems. As Brian said, the storm is huge in size, with impacts well beyond the cone.

Hurricane Ian hit where I live and I know they say it was a 4 but I know it was closer to a 5 because I was here when Charlie hit too and it was a high 4 and Ian was way worse and last longer than Charlie. Charlie was a fast dry hurricane and when it was coming for us it was only a two and than bam speeded up to a high 4 in just a few hours. Both destruction was awful but Ian did more because it tore up counties that are and hour away from us like Sanibel island and Fort Myers. So what I’m saying is if even 4hours away from where the eye is going to hit expect hurricane winds and the rest round it expect tropical storm to hurricane 1 winds depending on where you live.
