Could you have started with colored cardstock and put white ink on the parts that you wanted to be a lighter color? Then you could put the lighter ink over the white ink. Of course, you would have to wait until the white ink dries, but that would not be a problem if you were making many backgrounds at one time. Love your videos; I never miss one ❤. I could watch you 24 hours a day.

I love these cards! I happen to have the Altenew Sunshine Flowers bundle so tried the technique without complete success. When I inked the embossing folder, it would get on the raised part. No matter which side of the folder I inked (tried it both ways) I used Gina K ink pads. Any thoughts on what I can be doing wrong. Do I need a ‘thicker ink’ Really love this technique and want to master it
