This guy is beyond human. His lack of success pains me immensely. And yet maybe the best guarantee of his autenticity and purity of song-writing and soul-deep performances. Would recommend every single individual with a care for music to go and see him live.

Why isnt he a household name worldwide? With a voice like that, guitar skills beyond anyone (pay attention Vai, Satch and all you one-trick guitar 'heros' out there!) This is technical playing with deep DEEP soul. RK is what Prince was trying to be.

Frankly, I did not know about the very existence of John Mayer until last year when the band I was in decided to cover one of his songs. And I have to admit the guy is good, but not 'that' good compared with Richie, whom I have been listening to for 25 years ; In my world, your comment does not make much sense :)

was a treat to film this show! too bad the sound engineer was a novice, best live show I've seen in years! very glad I was front stage so I got monitor mix instead of the mains! I had to chuckle when he ripped the xlr cable out of mic cause of the feedback....he didn't miss a note! even when the green hat fool brought him the other mic lmao

Yes. He is the greatest guitarist singer songwriter in history as far as I'm concerned. It's a rare thing to have those guitar skills let alone a voice like that. Why isnt he a household name? I feel bad for those who haven't heard of RK. They are missing out. We need to spread the word and get him booked before he decides to retire. Lol

So did Brighton Shores just book him to play this while he was on tour? I wonder what his booking fees are. We need him to spread his music throughout Canada. Imagine Richie Kotzen and Ian Thornley (Big Wreck) on the same bill? Or even better, collaborating on a project?
@brightonshores2 жыл бұрын
lol no I didnt book him, I just ALWAYS get to front stage center @ every concert I go too, if I could afford to "book", him it would be to jam/record in my studio lol
