From Toronto, Canada came, "Star Route" a short-lived 26-week country music TV series hosted by actor Rod Cameron and featuring regulars Larry & Lorrie Collins (the '50s "Collins Kids" in their 20s), guitar virtuoso Glen Campbell and Gene Davis & his Star Routers. Each week the show salutes a guest star who performs their hit songs and gives the audience a glimpse into their private life via the Star Route cameras. This was Roy's top-10 country hit of 1963 that nearly cracked the pop top-40 (#45).
