Live's songs aren't explicitly Christian; the message just often happens to be the same as the important parts of Christianity. Love, harmony, the sacred nature of humanity. And lots of songs about water.

maybe it's the fruit of everything. I think it's more for divine mother , spiritual awakening , consciousness. But there's diamonds in it all when scripture isn't misused and misinterpreted by mankind. I don't see it as a religious song but what's beautiful about it is that anyone of any path can find their truth in it

Indeed. Religion is about dogma. Spirituality is about rebirth/reincarnation. They use the same themes, words and histories in dramatically different ways.

The Holy Spirit is Mother Nature. The will of our Father in heaven is to get our mother back for us his children and THY will be done. 📖 ⚖️ ☯️ Without our mother we are lost souls looking for love in all the wrong places.
@rjrjr176 жыл бұрын
Earth is our mother. The water symbolizes heaven. This is a really powerful song. The buildup to "and swam out there in love." Soul is burnt but in HEAVEN nonetheless waiting for the listener to join him.

Considering Live started out as a Christian rock band, I'd say you're probably mistaken as to the writer's intentions.

***** The moon is symbolic in Paganism as well as in Christianity. I know that Ed Kowalczyk is Christian, but it's not the only faith out there. Live does cover lots of religions and forms of spirituality in their music. Forever May Not Be Long Enough for example, is heavily Egyptian.
@andrewkran92637 жыл бұрын
Ed is not Christian. He grew up in a Christian family and grew to resent the religion. He is spiritual in his own way, having an affinity for Eastern Philosophies.
