Thanks man! Yeah, but, Id trade places with ya in a heartbeat.Guitar/Vox do NOT come natural...LOL. Id rather be havin the keyboard player bashin my head into the windshield of a Chevy Suburban (84) and cussin the lead singer nightly while wartchin him go through 6 gtr players in one week and STILL BE behind the drums everynight, than workin Solo. BUT?..This century has forced change for alot of us old dawgs..LOL.

+Stephen Shelton Thanks man for comparing...Well, after listenin to both mixes on regular stereo speakers, I really think I shoulda went with mix 4...Even today, listenin back on my ONE MONITOR (R side)..This sounds boomy and the vocals have a low mid contour...You have more forgiving mons..LOL Wish you could just swap files instead of having to delete the whole video....You tube compresses audio WAY TOO MUCH ,which makes it even harder to mix for streaming...

Yeah, by 95, I KNEW Bill G's 0s and 1s were gonna SERIOUSLY rain on my parade as a road drummer,so I had to somehow EEEK out an existence for the 21st and that meant ..(gasp..) SINGING and puttin other instruments to WORK. After 2 knee replacements last yr, I hope to be back at it fulltime very soon!

Hey! man , I havent gone to VD since they cut out the camping, took away the porta pottys, restricted the parking area for jammers, put a kerfew on jammers on the main lawn . (used to be ALL NIGHT). The GOV RUINED IT!!! Any Community Center jams down your alls way anymore?

Well? I dont expect ya to understand this, and even I , myself, dont understand it fully but I went FULL THROTTLE going to BG fests, jams, camping all over the US EVERY week from 76 -2015 or so. Played shows regularly with a band with female vocals for 9 yrs straight. ..THEN.. all the smaller fests couldnt afford to operate anymore due to "insurance probs" THEN, all the oldtimers Id picked with for 30 yrs DIED. NOW, I honestly dont have much interest in going to public jams, or the big festivals anymore. Everyone at jams nowdays is part of a band, having "band practice" at jams. Ya rarely see/hear 3-4-5 guys , who just met, gettin together to play like in the old days. I might take ya up on a visit or 2 down your way soon. Be good to meet ya , see Big Red..LOL, and your oldman..

Appreciate the feedback.Used to be able to send messages on here in the 70s ..I mean , 90s...LOL.Ken's videos have helped me beyond what I thought was possible the past 2 yrs.The guy has a genuine gift for sure.If I were younger, I would spring for the course. Its funny,because the way he illustrates his techniques/ methodology, the videos kinda "work YOU, insteada YOU working them. Spooky....LOL. Go for it if ya can !

The thing is I actually know what I want to sound like. Maybe not maybe people coming into the program know but I have already figured this out for myself.

@@aplethoraofme2056 This video is a "before".Main difference between now and then, is I have more pwr and control in my chest voice and not so "nasaly" in the head voice.Im an old road drummer from another time and havent done the LIVE gtr/vocal thing so its very much a work in progress..LOL Im very OLD school in my audio tracking and purposely try to sound like the technolgy of the 60s/70s, so the quality will never be 21st century.Ken is VERY good at illustrating different voice timbres (same note /different feqs.) so If you already have that "sound" inside, His exercises /warm ups/ vowel modifications can help you shape the wave forms you want.

Around 2018, i started gettin more solo gigs, and really wanted to be able to sing 4-5 hrs a night" more often" without wearin out so I happened upon Kens channel, liked his style and approach, so I started with the most basic videos. Worked the scales, breathing exs, Vowel mods,etc. (still do).Still gotta LONG way to go so Im wouldnt honestly be the best player to critique singing.Ive worked with 3-4 very good female vox over the yrs, but as a drummer. Only mics I had were on the kit. ( cussed too much back then to have one in my face..LOL) Being VERY old school, I only know female vox styles from the past...VERY past..LOL. I dont even listen to hardly anything 21st C.Incase ya didnt know, Ken has a messageboard FOR posting material to be critiqued. There are a few of His past students on there who offer constructive critique and advice.I used to lurk on there quite a bit but just too busy trackin nowdays.Since I cant find a female vox , who wants to do ONLY 20th C classics for the nostalgia show, I started doing my own backup vox and let me tell ya , Its ALOT of work,especially recording with LIVE parameters (MUCH different than making a CD, or kareoke) so doing video is a major undertaking, getting a good mix for youtubes SQQQQUASHING 32bit WAV down to a puny Mp3 16bit 256kbps audio formatt..LOL.Its like having a 1000$ 35mm cam, and getting a 1960s polaroid pic out of it..LOL.Anyway, what kinda material do ya do?
