Biggest suggestion when going to NYC - get a map and look at where these various sites are and group your travels by neighborhood. Just like at Magic Kingdom, you don't want to do Tron and then Tiana's and then Dumbo because you would be wasting time walking back and forth, the travel time between stops eats up a lot of time whether you're walking or taking a taxi or subway. Also don't forget how long it takes to get from the airport to Manhattan so even if you are getting in fairly early, you won't be at your hotel for another 60-90 minutes depending on traffic. You are going to have so much fun and leave with so much more on your list to do next time!

I hope Jenn saw the comment from Patrick Clanton {Moulin Rouge the Musical understudy} who posted a comment offering Jenn and her friend a backstage tour of the Al Hirshfeld Theatre in New York City where MR the Musical is playing while she is in town for Wicked. The comment was from when Jenn announced she was going to see Wicked on Broadway. Edit: Jenn saw the comment and for someone who doesn't frequent NYC she should definitely take up the offer

I was in NYC the year they humbled the trade center first. But that year I was able to go inside the crown of the Statue of Liberty. It would absolutely make me cry. I actually collect the 9-11 stuff because I don’t think k they tell kids about it in schools abc I want my grandkids to know some day. FAO is no longer like the original I loved the huge store. Wish it was still there.

Another option for a restaurant with very talented singing waitstaff - check out Gayle's Broadway Rose at the Edison Hotel. The restaurant is Friedman's. I had a burger when I went, and it was delicious!

I love the residence inn across from Bryant park (1033 6th Ave). Nice walk to Rockefeller center, Times Square, broadway, herald square, Empire State Building and more. Happy to hear you are visiting nyc!

Go to Gayles Broadway Rose on your next NYC trip. Same concept as Ellen’s Stardust, just better food. Born and raised in nyc and to me the Stardust is dirty and the food isnt great. The Entertainment is the only reason to visit in my opinion.🤷🏻‍♀️😊

At night though the hotel being in a non touristy area means it’s going to be dark and quiet and you won’t want to walk alone (or with your friend). I totally get not wanting to be in the heart of time square but being just off to the edge of it when you plan on doing broadway is a good idea

Grew up on going to broadway shows and I’m seeing Adam lambert in cabaret many times for the next 6 months. (you should see it if you get a chance!) so that’s why I chose the millennium hotel. It’s legit around the corner from Times Square. Theaters are super close. I like staying at a hotel near the theater. You’re going to LOVE wicked!

Hey sorry I missed you! I was at the UP (Upper Peninsula in Michigan) and the internet was so bad. I am watching it now. I love your new Halloween shirts, so cute! About NYC, I remember going to the Radio City music hall to watch the Rockettes, I doubt the Christmas spectacular is on now but it’s just a such an iconic thing to do. Yeah and The Brooklyn Diner had like the best Mac & Cheese! Sushi Samba for sushi. For best fresh mozzarella pizza, I like Angelo’s Pizza, it’s right by The Late Show. But, after all, I’m sure others will give you a better advice.

If you were interested in Ellen’s Stardust Diner there is another restaurant in midtown called Gayle’s Broadway Rose and it is the same concept but more of a nicer restaurant as opposed to a diner! It’s only open after 5pm but the food and drinks are delicious and entertainment is amazing! It is a bit on the pricier side but it is such an amazing experience!

I’m British and do not understand the ‘spooky season’ thing, Halloween here is ONE night! So personal preference I don’t watch HHN vlogs, just don’t get it! You do you though. My daughter stayed in the Mandarin Oriental when she visited NY, her now husband proposed in Central Park. We are big Wicked fans, seen it loads, its spine tingling!! Stay safe & enjoy the trip. ❤

Factor was terrible. It doesn't taste good. The chicken is always rubbery. My favorite is every plate, which is a cheaper version of hello fresh I think. I can cancel online whenever I want to. I skip it a lot, since the recipes aren't super varied. But it's really affordable, and I like that they aren't trying too hard. It's fresh and simple.
