@@Far1988 stalker started developing in 2001. GCSC are a company that clearly care for more on quality of games. Fallout 3 started in 2003. i understand fallout 1 & 2 were way before, but its fair to say that bethesda would of most likely taken ideas from stalker. although fallout 3 is arse in comparison

You and Stod have been doing a heroic job of streaming this game and I've been 'working and lurking' every day, all day! Really appreciate it. It has its performance issues especially on a lesser system, and things obviously need 'finishing', but I've absolutely loved it. Could honestly be my favourite action RPG game since Skyrim. I hope you keep going until you've finished the main story anyway! Edit - Btw, I appreciate you running epic settings too, showing the game at its best. No shade on Stod, but he's been running his game on medium settings to get more frames, and it's a different experience as a viewer.

Glad you're enjoying the content! Yeah, that's fair. The game looks great at max settings but I respect that Stod just isn't a fan of "fake frames" and wants the best responsiveness possible at the expense of higher graphics. If the game was better optimised, I'm sure he'd be running max settings too 😅

Honestly it’s sort of like Skyrim meets fallout. It’s a completely different vibe when you turn the hud and compass and object highlighting off. DLC please be outstanding!!! The grittiness is a chefs kiss as well !!

The grittiness and overall environment and vibe is what really makes Stalker. Very realistic compared to the pictures and video out of Pripyat and the surrounding area.

i recognized in the game at least 3 masks i have and used in the last 8 years removing hazardous materials from public spaces, the last one i use, is japanese and dont seem to show up around the stalkers and soldiers ;)))))))

Maybe I should have started with an earlier video. There's loot floating in blue air, now Tom (the best voiceover in gaming) is shooting at blue air yet it's the NPCs that look like baddies.

​@@hsyer5314that's an impressive framerate. I need to upgrade my 9900k. My 4090 desires it as much as I do. I run it at like 50-89 and lows as low as 30 for 1 % lows so when I saw what he was running fps wise I had to ask... I saw he eventually commented on it though but ty ty ❤❤ for a i9 3900k that impressive.

@@CrrzyFox much owed to dlss, his fps did dip as low as 70 or 80 sometimes. I also had a 9900kf, and as much as I loved it, I'll have to say you needed an upgrade. Your cpu is bottlenecking your GPU. Goodluck.

lol- i was thinking i would wait for this to hit a sale- and thought- go play the original- so i go into steam and find this game- i must have gotten it as early access a long time ago and gave up - then forgot about it. so played a few hours today- pretty good- the only issue i have is : compiling shaders - took over 40 minutes. .amd 5800x32. 32 ram and 6800xt..

I played on Xbox One. The original Xbox one. So I had to play it through the cloud gaming. It's playable but barely. Graphics are horrible. It does this thing where the tv screen will. I have a line going horizontally down the screen trying to keep up with the graphics i guess. Even with all that b******* it's still a damn good game. 10/10 game for me either way

You don't kill the mutant cats with the collar, just run in the room so the cats come out then jump up on something high up and then wait 5 minutes and let the other 2 soldiers kill the cats while you watch, this is what I did...no ammo used, no med kits used. Tommo your using the worst shotgun in the game, there's a ram shotgun that kills most mutants in two shots. The rifle your using is rubbish as well, you need to be using 556 rifles. I'm 90 hours in.
