I only listened for five minutes, but it seems to me that LEO-Liner AKA Starliner: Launched with known failed components. More of those components failed in flight. The software was reported to not be able to fly the ship down autonomously. It is consuming one of the station docks. Engineers are saying don't put people in it. Management (other reasonable? people Ha) are very likely pushing engineers to do that "Apollo 13 thing" and make it work. So it looks like you can't fly it back with people and it can't fly itself back so it's stuck there. Ouch.

It’s Apollo 13 all over But unlike Apollo 13, they manage to get the astronauts home… but now we have no idea how to get them home…. TRAGIC!!!! Not even SpaceX can approach such things… HOW THE MIGHTY UNITED STATES SPACE AGE HAS FALLEN!!!!!!!!!! For now on I’m trying to book a rescue Soyuz to save them and to avoid any political conflicts in the process

Isn’t the thruster technology already very mature? We sent people to the moon 50 years ago. Don’t understand why Boeing still has issues with thrusters. BTW. The scariest part is the software, it’s ridiculous that only manned configurations is onboard and it takes a month to switch to a new configuration. It must be that there are issues with the automatic configuration.

They are now being used under conditions that they previously weren't used in. Hence, they did not know this problem existed. Now that they know, there are doing extensive testing in New Mexico to get a better understanding of the problem.

So starliner is still a giant paper wait. It's was unsafe on its first flight, and has done no better, if anything worse.

Starliner presently does not have the compatibility to undock autonomously without changes to the software configuration on the vehicle

If that doesn't work the software configuration then they will be in trouble.

This program has been pushed on the idea "We need options! It's good to have options! That way no one company has a monopoly because the intrinsically corrupt concept of communism can't be trusted!"
