Gauge 1 Live steam BR class 4MT tank

Testing a very fine, live steam British Railways class 4MT tank in my garden after doing some minor maintenance. I absolutely love this loco, hope you like it!

The valve gear is set for backwards running while it is going forward?

I know, it has slip eccentrics and even in spite of that fact, I still love it! Other models are engineered differently so you don’t have that problem. Well spotted though!

@@sncf231eThe outside valve gear is fixed in that position, typically for locomotives with slip eccentrics, it has to be pushed manually into forward or reverse. It is similar to the Gauge 1 Model Co Britannia from 2005/6 and was made by the same company. I like both locomotives for their rugged construction. I hope that helps clarify your question.
