I was depressed after reading "audiophile" reviews that said that my stereo speakers sucked and had no bass. "Kabuki", they said. "You'd have to pay me to listen to them." So I threw my receiver into full stereo mode so that they could stand on their own, and grabbed this track. You can imagine the grin on my face when the very first bass hit was gently vibrating my shirt, and I didn't even have it in "full send". The things on my desk over there are rattling. I want to thank you, State Azure. This is just the latest iteration of your music bringing a soft smile to my face during my times of need. You've earned my subscribe.

Really liking those sub bass parts. Reminds me of seeing Nihls Frahm live. He sometimes throws in a sub bass on a quiet section. Place shakes and rumbles. Quick glance around the audience and everyone has a cheeky grin on their faces. They know.

Music you can feel. I also love a good sub bass. On the other side of the spectrum, in October I attended ten concerts with Lydmor. As the tour progressed she seemed to get increasingly happy with a fader on her keyboard that was wired up to send out a barrage of white noise while also triggering a strobe behind her. Just pure white noise, but her timing with short bursts at the right places just made it so effective in her set without ever feeling too much.

Thanks for sharing. I love how the water drop sounds and the ambient background play off of each other. It is a lot like Blade Runner without the dark mood. You could you explain a little how you used the Aeros Looper in this?

Glad you enjoyed it! I had 6 channels in Aeros set to freeform mode, so no syncing/quantising. I was using it to kind of print loops coming from the Microcosm, since the Microcosm has lots of cool FX and can be pitched, it's nice to loop into that first. Later I used the Aeros to mix in/out different sections/loops

Wavestate out of the box is probably even better than Iridium for longform ambient stuff. I never really Iridium's default presets, so it requires work and/or buying ambient soundsets.

It's because i was impressed by the "elemiere" and "hymn of the silent" session, i love it so much, if i remember right you realize it almost all with iridium, and now i am many more impressed by your sound design work, so ok i think i'll go for wavestate, i like sound design, but haven't many time, and i usually use it for create/performance rehearsals, i'm trying ambient in last two years, because of you pat, your modern approach to this genre was very inspiring for me, i play genres with hard beats , i thought was easier create beatless ambient, but instead i'm in difficult with it, so i think wavestate and iridium are a kind of "omnisphere hardware" to expand my sound and inspiring too. Thanx for all Congratulations for navigate a latent space and enchanted forest!

@@marcopulsar910 I think there is often a misunderstanding that simple/atmospheric sounding ambient music is really easy to make. I think that it's not a difficult process and doesn't require advanced music theory, but it is very difficult to make it sound nice, evolving, interesting over a long period of time with subtlety and great sound selection.

Thanks! It's just a laptop stand :) the top can be angled/rotated a little, works pretty well for small synths.
