I can watch/listen to Gavin talk about anything, even when 80% of what he speaks about is beyond my comprehension. I’ve had the honor of watching him live for both Porcupine Tree and Pineapple Thief and it was absolutely glorious. Legend and future all time great! I’ll listen joyfully to anything he does. Thank you for everything sir!

What a sweet intellectual and easy to learn from man. I saw KC in 2018 and all 3 drummers were incredible and perfect. Thank you Gavin for your humility.

Amazing. Thank you Gavin, and Sonor, for putting this together. Would love a run-through of your mixing workflow... I don’t even play acoustic drums (yet)! But I did study sound engineering so would be super interested in your approach to mic’ing and mixing. Thanks again for the huge dose of inspiration and thoughtful answers 🙏

What your favorite heads for toms ?
@gusbandicoot4 жыл бұрын
He normally uses remo vintage coated emperor
@bruno-nw9qm4 жыл бұрын
GusBan i’m pretty sure he uses coated ambassadors as top heads, and clear ambassadors as bottom heads, but probably he alternated between emperor and ambassador
@gusbandicoot4 жыл бұрын
@@bruno-nw9qm I'd happily be proven wrong, but it's well documented in many other places that he USUALLY (not always of course) uses vintage coated emps
@bruno-nw9qm4 жыл бұрын
GusBan emperors are killer
@e-lias65204 жыл бұрын
It's coated Emperors on top and clear Ambassadors on the bottom for rack toms. On the top of the floor tom is a vintage coated emperor. And again, clear ambassadors on the bottom, I assume.
