Private prosecutions are a good thing. The UK legal system has had private prosecutions for quite a while and has succeeded in bringing criminals to book. It's a way of ensuring that aggrieved or injured citizens can try to get justice, to remedy a failing of the usual routes of securing justice. I hope these unjustly maligned Haitians receive justice.
