Donald Trump will make an “emotional” return to the grounds where an assassin’s bullet almost claimed his life on Saturday night.
Trump’s return to the site has been billed as an act of defiance by his campaign amid intense pressure on the U.S. Secret Service, which faced severe criticism over the July shooting.
Trump’s protective detail has been significantly boosted following a second apparent assassination attempt at his southern Florida golf club last month.
Ahead of his trip to Butler, he said he felt an “obligation” to return to the site, even joking he may open his speech by telling the crowd: “As I was saying.”
