Governor Kemp said that Valdosta was one of the worst areas hit so it may be accessible but that doesn't mean they don't also need the help. Everyone hit by this does. The government should be sending in helicopters with food and water at least. Hope they hurry up and get there. Prayers to the people in those states including my family members in several of them.

as a valdosta resident: trumps presence here has done nothing but make this disaster worse for us. our police officers put everything else on hold for his arrival and our linemen had to slow operations. We are expected to be without power till october 5th and only have 2 working gas pumps. this is a low-income community that got hit hard as fuck two times in a little more than one year. we still had not fully rebuilt from idalia when helene hit. if trump really wanted to do some good he would donate “a small loan of a million dollars” to us. Coming here and taking away resources immediately after is so stupid and performative. We need help from this country, and this was not the help we needed. democrats AND republicans don’t really care; its a political act full of BS.
