I was never a dog person until i met my boyfriends golden retriever "Cinnamon." Cinnamon was such a sweet kind beautiful girl. We lost her last year and my guy is unconsolible. They loved each other so much. Im a cat person but cinnamon won my heart. She knew i was her mama and i loved that. I loved my girl so much but with my guy being 79 and me being 69 were not sure that we want to get another dog. But we both would love another golden. I love tucker and journee and come here often. thanks for brightening my day.

ShaylaCakeuCreates he is 1 and a half year old that means he is in puberty now and Journee might be 1 year old but I can tell you as the daughter of a dog breeding family that yes she might be 7 years in human years but we had dogs going into heat around 1 yo so you can’t compare human puberty which started around as early as 10 or start later as of 14 yo. For large dogs like Goldens the first heat can start around 1 year and yes Journees heat might start soon but that not means she is in heat right now but soon. For Tuckers more smell sensitive nose this means Journee smells ripe for humping. We breed 2 breeds one small breed which first heat usually started at 16 month old but we had early one‘s which smelled ripe for our male dog around 7 or 8 month. Our large breeds usually started to go into heat around 11 or 12 months, this is what I meant she smells like being in heat but she isn‘t right now. Maybe there is another female dog which is in heat living with Journee and that might what Tucker smelled.
