Props to Vince for competing in the finals despite being old AF. I remember meeting him at the 2002 BIU world rounds in Europe. And possibly the year before in Itadori. To be at the highest level of a sport for that long is incredible. Bravo!

He’s certainly gained a lot of respect keeping up with the youngsters. So great to watch too

Hi guys, we met at the Cordon race and I already told you what I think of your videos but I want to write it here too: thanks for what you do allowing the races to be seen even by those who can't follow them live! the quality of the comments and the shots are much better than the official uci ones. as a comment I would define you as "the Rob Warner of trials" 😄😄

I watched it last night and couldn't figure out Jack's 5 on section 2 for the life of me... finally after re-watching it this morning at 1/4 speed I see it. Unfortunate turn of events for Jack, I hate to see it fall apart for him. Amazing riding by everyone; thanks for the great coverage guys!

Ye tough call that. Don’t envy their job..
@Mavertrial6 күн бұрын
Anyway, the two 5s they gave to Jack are very questionable in my opinion! 🤔🤔🤔. Charlie has reached an impressive level and deserves the win!!! 😱😱

Hardly. The first one the front wheel went outside the gate and the second one he went completely the wrong way, missing the gate entirely. 100% on Jack there, sorry.
@Mavertrial5 күн бұрын
yes, in the second case it's completely his fault, no doubt about it, he missed a gate... I was referring to the other two: in the first case, from the video it didn't seem to me that the front wheel passed outside the arrow, surely the observer saw better than me but I'm not convinced... in the last section however, does the uci regulation say that the limit of the section can be the carpet instead of the rope?
@aaron.biketrials5 күн бұрын
Yeah, I get the first was kinda hard to see, I didn’t believe it at first. As for going over the carpet, I don’t know the rules but that is also on jack to know that. If a fan of Jack, don’t get me twisted, but this wasn’t his best race imo.
@juanma47775 күн бұрын
As for the first: The problem was apparently the gap an thus the other riders went to front to avoid tilting the bike. In the video Jack seems to be perfectly between the two tapes IMHO... Once Jack was bothered and out of focus, it's understandable for him to perform less than ideally. The rulebook does seem to allow for a rule regarding the carpet to be decided upon in the competitors briefing at the start of the race by the judges, but it is somewhat odd. Carthy should have listened... I think the moment any rider feels unfairly penalized, it's hard to come back.

There is some funny business against Jack. UCI should use lasers instead of just eyeing it... Diabetes can cause glaucoma.

True. We certainly wouldn’t want their role…

Thanks for the great work. You people make following the sport as easy as it gets. Controversial refereeing in this one. Props for being politically correct. Not speaking your thoughts out loud might get you entrace tickets for future events
