Indeed the poor lad doesn't look like he wants to be there...to be fair, he was pretty close to one of the speakers and he definitely wasn't even born when Achtung Baby was released in 1991, so all in all not a lot for him to get too excited about! If you look closely his dad tried to inspire him with a little bit of air guitar but that didn't work either!

Guitarist has two main issues: 1 is tuning. By the pitch of the instrument I would say he can't tune it properly as the intonation is out. 2 is proper use of delay and effects. After all you're adopting The Edges signature sound! Remember u2 is a four piece band with only one guitarist who does a he'll of a lot of work. So listen, learn and work on it, that's how we all get there in the end and have a barrel of fun on the way.

"Terrible" is a strong word...I'm sure if it were that bad, (incorrect notes, out of tune, rhythmically out) you would see people blocking their ears or leaving...I'm not sure I see that in this video...I guess they must of endured it....it is of course unfair to compare him to Adam Clayton a man whose full-time job over the last 40 years plus is to play bass in one of the most successful bands in history. You are clearly very passionate about music and I'm so sorry that his playing has offended you. Feel free to post a video of your band covering the song in front of a live audience so he can identify where he can improve.
