Slick talking is not always appealing. As for truthfully answering the actual questions at hand, Vance was a massive failure. He blatantly lied and continually evaded the issues. Walz was a little shaky initially, however, I feel he came back and made up for it. He was able to gain his footing and composure. Walz exposed his true self and he was inspiring, hopeful, truthful and set an example of what our country is in dire need of. I’m very proud of his performance. He believes in we the people. I think Walz was perfect in his tone, his genuine manner, his likeability and his knowledge. He played it so well in fact that I do believe those on the fence may well now vote Democrat! Well done Walz. You showed civility where none existed before.

I think Tim Walz niceness is actually a super power, he brings out the best in people, the debate was civil and a more of traditional debate. Vance's mean spiritedness was kept in check by Tim's natural good heartedness

@@karenrhoads1598 aggressive does mean to confront. Reality Tim Walz did not do a good job confronting the lies. Too often Waltz let Vance lie with impunity. At the beginning it felt like deja vou. for the first 45 minutes. Trump did not save or make the ACA better. . I wish Tim would have confronted Vance about the lie he has been saying that Trump was responsible for lowering insulin to $35. Walz did not even mention that accomplishment. Kamala Harris does not have the authority to dictate or direct legislation. I appreciate that Tim was cordial that is not contrary to vigorously confronting the lies.

Personally, that is what I miss about that aspect of politics and debate. It’s not the go for the jugular type of discourse that we’ve been used to now because of Trump and his misinformation machine. There are those people out there that don’t like watching shouting and name calling, etc all the time. I’m watching the post debate show on MSNBC and most of the commentators were some what disappointed that Gov Walz was too nice and cordial and didn’t go for JD’s throat. I thought he was still authentic having to work within the constraints of a formatted debate.
