His conclusion is interesting: He does not Notice Success rate in Great Games. Well. may be gauges of success are different. Great powers play the games for short term benefits some time. Play grounds are chosen to show the cards to some one else far away. This are complex games. However, millions of innocents suffer. Like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, ME, Vietnam and so forth
