I thought Cher was wonderful and did her best to tell her story, but honestly I couldn’t believe how Kelly wouldn’t shut up, she would ask Cher a question and even before she could even answer Kelly would answer the question for her and was throughout the whole entire interview. Kelly needs to learn to listen in allow the guess to tell their story. It’s not for her to interpret what they are thinking.

I absolutely love Cher, and am fortunate to have met her in person, during her other book signing for "The First Time" in 1998! While waiting for hours in line at a bookstore in Santa Monica, she insisted on staying for the last few dozen of us on the street, as the line went out the door, and around the block! When it was my turn, I was plain STARSTRUCK, and the only thing I could think of as she signed by book, was to comment on her "Believe" CD which had also come out about the same time. I mentioned it was a shame that a big HOUSE music station in LA had just changed before her CD was released, and she agreed with me, it would have gotten so much airplay! I partially owe my interior design career to Cher, because when I was in a high school art class working on some "stupid" art collage project from a stack of art and design magazines, I discovered a copy of Architectural Digest which featured the mansion of Sonny and Cher on the cover! I immediately put it aside. Later I DEVORED it, and at that moment knew what I wanted to do for a career! I also intended to move to Southern California, and someday see HER house! In time it was full circle... I moved to Southern California, obtained my interior design degree, saw HER mansion (formerly owned by Tony Curtis), on Carolwood Drive, next door to the former Jayne Mansfield "Pink Palace"! I also was able to go through their previous mansion in Bel Air (later owned by Larry Flint) during an open house, and walk through her former vast closets... used to hold tons of clothes from the TV show! Finally, I was able to go to see her "First FAREWELL" tour concert in Anaheim... and when she closed with "Believe", over 10,000 plus fans singing and dancing together, practically BLEW the roof off! Was one of the best concerts I ever attended... Wild Orchid, Cyndi Lauper, then CHER! WOW! Great memories! 🤗 I will be ordering and reading Part ONE, and will await Part TWO! 🥰

As I watched her Cher "interview," (Kelli spoke more about the book than Cher did) I remembered why I no longer watch Kelli Ripa. I think Kelly feels pressure being the head name of the show. Maybe it has to do with a little insecurity to fill Regis' shoes. Don't be too hard on her. I like Kelly. She just wants to keep her superiors happy. I'm sure it's much harder than it looks. Like the DJs in Radio. It's crucial to not have any dead air, and is why they have to keep non stop talking. They don't know what kind of guest they are interviewing. Some are talkative and some just answer with one word and the interviewer has to keep it going. Stop being so hard on Kelly. She's done a fantastic job. I personally didn't think she would last after Regis, but she has recreated that show. Women have to work twice as hard to get the same respect as men. Kelly you are doing great!! Keep up the great job! You make the Show!!
