I LOVE that you remember your first challenge so vividly; that it was THAT impactful for you! I can admit, I don't do all of the things with my budgeting, but this community has given me so many ideas. It is absolutely why I had a pile of money in a savings account earmarked for a new set of tires. Now, I learned this week that the price of tires has gone crazy, and/or I got a great deal on my last set (admittedly, my old car and in ~2018), but most of the sting was taken out because I had that $600 waiting for this exact purpose. There's a cool sense of calm that I have things in savings so if there's a life event, my world can try to keep spinning the right way. Is 'group play' just people doing the same challenge at the same time (i.e. sorta like how Lizzy and Linsey battle), or is it a true turn-taking, i.e. this week is Liz's turn, she rolled a 5 and had to save __, and then next week it's Tracey's turn to roll and save before ____'s turn? Or, something entirely else? Goals: All of my 1 days are survival/having all of my lessons planned for the next day so I'm not scrambling the morning of. This week, I need to get my poor, frosted dahlias dug up and drying in the garage. 30 days? I'd like my holiday card list done/inventory my card stockpile to show myself I don't need to buy other cards and SHOULD NOT buy cards, even if they're so cute. Sorry I didn't see this live! Great video!

I also forgot Week Ahead is a fave! But YES YES YES that sense of calm! Are you like me and full of anxiety about things you can't control? I don't know how I existed before budgeting. (Oh wait. Panic attacks at 3am about money. I haven't forgotten those.) But budgeting gives me a sense of calm even though we don't have everything all set, at least we aren't going to lose the house if one big emergeny happens. AHH THOSE STUPID WHEELS ON CARS. Why do we need them? We can put a man on the moon but we need those stupid things? Yes - so group play is exactly what you said. Someone has something on a channel and then you all basically do the same challenge. I love all of those goals -- and... PLEASE. YES. It is starting to freeze here and you need those dahlias out of the ground hahahah!

Loved the Live this morning! I’m working on laundry and cleaning the house today. In the next 7 days, I need to have someone come out and fix my furnace as it’s not working. In the next 30 days, I really want to dial in and tighten up my budget for the end of 2024. I’m planning on joining you and Wren on Tuesday night. I want to start getting my binders ready for 2025.

Definitely get that furnace looked at -- my best friend owns a HVAC company and she will tell you as soon as the first cold day of the year happens, they get flooded with calls from people whose furnaces aren't working and they are NOT happy they can't get an immediate service! AND YES YES YES! Let's get set for 2025!

Oh I missed it, was making empanadas with the kids. Made my 1 & 7 day goals last week. 1- go for a 5km walk ✔️ 7- Make the budget for next month. - read through the articles I need to and go through the comments of the cases I've written. 30- done a first go through of the kids drawings. Not done, but at least a first rinse. Oh i love the baby stages of the sticker book! My favorite challenge is your Week Ahead. Using it to very slowly add on to the emergency fund and be mindful of it.

Liz can you turn your etsy address into a link? I've heard it reduces your etsy fees if we go from your link. So anyone wanting your challenges can click your etsy (you have it listed but its not clickable)
@lizandlessАй бұрын
yep - it's actually easy, just lizandless.etsy.com! That's the way it reduces etsy fees. :)

My first savings challenge was the $5 challenge and I saved $618 dollars because I stuck random left over dollars in the jar too. The money is still in the envelope in the safe and the tracker in my binder 4 years later. It is a constant reminder of what I can do If Cam has chosen the 4 year school he plans to attend he needs to look into the transient credit agreement (it may be called something else at his school, the function is what matters). The classes he is taking at community College may only transfer as electives to a 4 year school instead of an actual credited class. For example Math 101-Algebra at the community College my son went to was an elective credit at the school he finished at so he took Math 109-College Algebra that transfered as Math 126-Algebra. He will also want to dig into the schools website for scholarships now for the 25-26 school year

I'm doing veggie prep, and I laughed out loud when you said you're going to apply to more jobs 😅

I am down for the veggie prep! OH! I applied for a job with the suntan company with the country I'm from that has Gold at the end of the name. A-Gold. Reckon they would hire me with my pasty skin?
