For those disparaging the mask. Jefferson was very interested in public health, medicine and science. He was instrumental in the development of an improved smallpox vaccine championed its use. He would certainly have worn a mask and been one of the first in line for a Covid vaccine. So this is perfectly in character for the worldwide pandemic that was raging at the time of this recording.

With this "publication," you put Thomas Jefferson on a pedestal. This is a disservice to our Republic. You need to address the weakness of his character and his foibles. This is to shed light on the injustice of our African Americans. To completely ignore this, like you did here, is every much an injustice -- just as was the original sin of Thomas Jefferson. In Thomas Jefferson words... calling slavery a “moral depravity and a “hideous blot." You should have addressed this in this presentation and at every opportunity you have to point out the hideous sanctification of slavery in the founding of our Republic. This would be one small step in righting the wrong.
@MalEvansUSA3 жыл бұрын
Denis d budnik agree 100 pct an absolute outrage and a whitewash. The brutality of slavery and an American auchwitz This is awful and a disservice to the African Americans who Jefferson considered chattel. This is awful. Monticello has a track record of sweeping its treatment of African Americans under the rug. This actor should be ashamed of himself. This is an outrage

Thomas Jefferson was not responsible for slavery. If you read his works and see the legislature that he attempted to put forth you would come to the realization that he supported emancipation. Jefferson was no cruel master and was in fact far more radical in thought approaching abolition than the average Virginian gentleman. Calm your rage and actually learn your American history.
