The Status of the MCMTR Server After 1 April 2024 MCMTR 伺服器在 2024 年 4 月 1 日後的安排 (English only) A Humorous Day and Memorable Way to End As "announced" in this live stream, yes, 1 April 2024 was indeed the "last day" of MCMTR. From 2 April 2024 onwards, the MCMTR server will officially receive no further developments and updates, and consequently be closed. This decision was made because, since the beginning of 2024, there has been little to no new development in MCMTR. Proposed developments have not been completed either - for example, the full automation of the Island Line, announced way back in January 2024, is still not yet done. Adding on to that, a lot of builders and staff have long-already shifted their focus to MTR Crafters. Therefore, closing MCMTR is the inevitable decision. We know that one day like this would come, and we thought that using 1 April as the day would make it more humorous and memorable. What Happens Afterwards - The Minecraft server will be shut down - The Discord server will be in "pseudo-lock-down" mode: existing members can still chat as usual; new members can still join the server, however they will not be able to chat - Staff members will remain in the server interacting with members, and offer assistance if needed - All builders/trainee builders will be suspended (but not demoted) - All applications and appeal forms will be closed, and those under review will no longer be processed - The possibility of offering a map download will be considered Might be Temporary However, there is a possibility that this closure will just be temporary. In June 2024, the ultimate fate of the server will be decided. Thank You Thank you for your support for MCMTR throughout the years. This will probably be the last announcement for MCMTR until June.
