The most underrated band of all time. I grew up during the 60s and loved that music including the early 70s. 80s music was OK but then the 90s rolled around and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It seemed like every week a new tune was playing that stirred my soul. Then Collective Soul showed up and they became my favorite. I can be happy just listening to Collective Soul and the Stones all day. I appreciate and enjoy listening to most music genres but when it comes to rock and roll I will always love Collective Soul!!!

I agree with Kit. I'm so nostalgic about the 90's. It was the best time to grow up and was the best decade for music, movies, tv shows and video games. Even with all the technology we now I would trade it all if I could go back to the 90's.

The 1990s were a time of endless possibilities, it was the age of the modern internet, the cell phone, music and movies and tv shows were being created by our generation, the youth of America was taking over everything. So it was natural for rock bands like Collective Soul to write good music and prove that in an age of jadedness and shallow popular culture, sometimes, good art can come from anywhere :)

100% Ed is the one that has always been the main soul of the band. He is the one that came up with the riffs that Ross played and Jesse continues to rip. Ed has done a great job at putting together lineups and the current one is really good. There is a reason that Ross has been nothing without Ed.

My children's musical tastes budded out and really developed during the '90s. Also, there was a station in the Dallas-Fort Worth area called m e r g 93.3, and they started streaming, and I started listening to them streaming early 2000s when my job moved. This was one of those songs and one of those bands. Lots of great music, and some alternate versions they would play on the streaming site that you really couldn't hear on the radio at the time.

I love music that I can still enjoy just as much all these years later as when it was a new song. songs always bring back vivid memories of what I was driving and doing at that time. I was in high school when this song came out. I remember driving around w friends, windows down, sunroof open and blasting the music… wondering what life had in store. Fast fwd 20+yrs and I’m doing well but I’ve lost friends and loved ones along the way, life’s ups & downs but music is one of the ONLY things that can take me back to a carefree time in my life

Even with Ed being sick and not being able to sing normally, this is my favorite live version of those I've seen. It's such a perfect arrangement for the band, everyone complimenting the whole. And while the Home concert's full orchestra is nice, Ross is like a one-man orchestra of metal teeth and buzzing bees. That's all this song needs.

Watching newer concerts with their new guitarist, it's like the solos are missing notes and the songs feel like they are played 2x faster.. shame they don't talk anymore 😞

There are so many great pop/alternative rock songs that came out during the late 90s that are so overlooked and rare since most altrock radio turned into rap/metal stations and wouldn't play these type of songs anymore. Some bands that come to mind, Splender, Stir, Dovetail Joint, Radford, etc. If anyone knows anymore I would really appreciate knowing more. I was lucky to grow up with WHTG 106.3 who didn't go the rap/rock way like most other alternative stations focused on during this time
