Kenny Vaughan is so amazing, the whole band is right in the pocket. Nobody is stepping on anyone. Sam is cool, Kenny is just the most amazing man on a tele.

I got your self titled album from a girl who claims that you're her cousin. Megan was her name. I forget her last name. I do not believe it was Lewis. But I worked with her for a year or two in North Carolina. I've got to say I am glad she introduced me to your music. I dig it. My favorite song by yours was 'In my dreams' but now this track trumped it. Take it easy and keep on keepin on.

I love it! I love the voice and the simple preformance of this song which has probably a million versions - I like this one the most. I searched where to buy Sam;s album - any suggestions?

James Taylor playing 'I'd Rather Go Blind'? Chickenshack 'I'd Rather Go Blind' exact replica... except 45 years or so before this.

What in the world are you talking about? A). This song is nothing like I’d rather go blind. B). This guy’s voice, Sam Lewis, is way better than James Taylor’s. It’s got much more resonance and way, way more soul.

Seriously that opening guitar solo is an exact replica of the solo in 'I'd Rather Go Blind' and his voice... is way too similar to James Taylor.

Get that ''I'd Rather Go Blind' reference too. I have 'Beatles - Dont let me down' in my head listening to this.

Good song and great arrangement, but unfortunately it's a rip off of "I'd Rather go Blind", originally by Etta James in 1967...
@cherchcherch50845 жыл бұрын
+P Stanley What are you talking about? This song is nothing like “I’d rather go blind”. Why are you trashing this young artist? I could listen to his music all day long. He’s got some great original songs-including this one, which sounds nothing like that great Etta James song. If you want to talk about ripped-off music, look to today’s pop music. Every song sounds alike. Lewis has a unique, textured,, strong voice that doesn’t have to twist itself into contortions to impress. It’s that beautiful. Pop, like Beyoncé, et al, echo their ridiculous vocal acrobatics in re-titled versions of the same damn song over and over and kids buy it because it’s what’s on the radio, so they don’t know better yet. This guy? This guy will outlast Beyoncé ‘s whole polyester crowd because real talent has staying power-like Willie Nelson, David Bowie, Aretha, etc. In fact, Lewis is kind of a mix of all three.
