This is SUCH a classic. Belongs in a time capsule. One of my favorite music videos of all time. Great song (by Walt Aldridge), great harms, and Josh's fills are friggin' PERFECT. I've watched/listened to this a hundred times.

I grew up with Jill. We went to SHHS together. Literally the nicest, most sincere person ever.

This is my favorite version of this song. Saw Oliver and Andrews play this song at Rhythm and Roots a decade ago. Really wish they'd put this on record so I could pull it up on Spotify instead of ad-riddled KZbin.

The performance flows from the forlorn, pain-filled heart of the song - "There Ain't No Ash Will Burn" no matter how much broken hope and desire is focused on its cold, grey truth...

Andrews is playing The Burl in Lexington, KY with Clem Snide on Oct. 19th. 18 & up. Not sure why the show isn't listed on her page.

Stunning. Great song, great vocals, great picking. I just googled their other performances of this song. All great. It just doesn't get better than this.

originally heard this song done by Della Mae on Pandora and I will say this now, you two did this better than anyone I have ever heard. Simple as that, you deserve everything you both have coming to you. You two blend better together than anyone Ive heard in a long time. Blessing to you both and really hope I can come to see you play one day.

I have seen snow that fell in May And I have seen rain on cloudless days Somethings are always bound to change There ain't no ash will burn Love is a precious thing I'm told It burns just like West Virginia coal But when the fire dies down it's cold There ain't no ash will burn You say this life is not your lot Well I can't be something that I'm not We can't stoke a fire that we ain't got There ain't no ash will burn In every life there comes a time Where there are no more tears to cry We must leave something dear behind There ain't no ash will burn

That 'water' is a lotta places, cuz a great many of the musicians there aren't from Tenn., esp. in Cash..., er, Nashville.
