I am so glad I stumbled upon this group and it’s music! ( At my age, stumbling upon something is a daily occurrence) This is music unadorned! Clear, vivid! Each instrument stands out and at the same time harmonizes with the others and the voices, so sweet and clear, stand in for the fiddles without missing a beat. I can’t stop listening to this. It’s a joyous sound performed perfectly by five musicians live , without manipulation.

Saw these gals for the 1st time at the Towne Crier Cafe in Beacon, NY on 5/8/16. Was totally blown away by not only the singing, but the awesome fiddle playing. They did 'Cold, Cold Heart'- of course I had to sing along (QUIETLY)!! The WHOLE show was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe Hank would tip his hat to this wonderful rendition of his song. Girls- PLEASE come back to this area- hopefully northern NJ- SOON!!!

I knew these young women were going to do great things the first time I heard them. That was in Celina, Tx at a little music show where I was playing guitar with our house band. Hulda was, I believe, about 12 years old with pigtails, but even at that young age she, Sofie and Grace (each just a few years older) were magnificent musicians. I will always be able to say I got to play behind them, even if only for 4 or 5 songs. You ladies make us fellow Texans proud.

Well,i have been a big fan of Hank Williams and his music for over sixty years and when i saw these beautiful ladies performing "Cold cold heart"on the country TV channel the other night,i just had to find out more.Real country music is still being performed so there is always hope the young generation will not let it die.Aren`t these ladies just brilliant.Wish i could have seen them live while in the USA for the first time last year.Well done indeed for bringing attention to the Quebe`s and a million thanks for putting goosebumps up my spine.

CaptainKaneko...You might try experimenting in the key of D major, at the fifth fret position, to facilitate some of those “jazz” phrasings. The progression is constantly changing, bug the key center I described ought to get you in the neighborhood. Of course, towards the end, you’ll be playing in the sixth fret position, as the song modulates up one half step to E flat major. Stay on that position, as E flat isn’t a very guitar-friendly tuning (unless the entire instrument is tuned a half step down to Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Bb, and Eb). Hope this helps you at least a bit!
